All our wooden pieces are made with with recycled wood. Mainly green waste hardwoods kept from gardening jobs and others burn piles. These include Manuka, Kanuka, Olive, Pohutukawa, Fejoa and Australian hardwoods.
How do you make the pieces?
Dave makes the pieces himself in our mini caravan studio, with a variety of hand tools and homemade tools. Tutorials and behind the scenes videos are coming soon...
How strong are the paua pieces?
The paua pieces are stronger than you'd guess. We wouldn't make them if they were too fragile. The moons and circle version pieces ( ring earrings, necklace and hand rings) are made of at least two pieces joined together, which adds strength. However we do suggest you use our hand rings as dress rings rather than everyday rings. A full refund is given for any broken piece.
